Jowett R-4 Sports Car

Date: 10/11/1953-London, England- The Jowett Company is exhibiting this sleek bug-like sports car, the "R-4,' the latest Jupiter developed directly from the Le Mans Jupiter sports cars which won the 1 1/2-liter class three years running, 1950-52. Top speed is more than 100 mph. A feature of interest on this model is an electrically-driven fan, operable independently of the engine, which cuts in thermostatically when engine temperature requires its use. Otherwise, it is idle, not absorbing horsepower or reducing temperature to an unwanted low level.
